PARIS, March 6. /TASS/. European countries are in a doubt about the possibility to help Ukraine in the long run, French Foreign Minister Stephane Sejourne said in an interview aired by LCI TV Channel.
"There is uncertainty about our possibilities to support Ukraine in the long run," he said.
This is connected with the US presidential vote among other things, the minister noted. "The instability regarding the election in the United States brings up a question whether Washington will be with us after it," he said.
Moreover, the rhetoric of left and nationalist parties in Europe contains "the reluctance to die for Ukraine" and requests to stop helping Kiev. "This is a wrong position," Sejourne said.
It is necessary to continue supporting Ukraine "for protecting the Europeans," he stressed.
