BELGRADE, February 20. /TASS/. The Munich Security Conference, which took place on February 16-18, has shown that international actors are no longer working to achieve peace, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said in an exclusive interview with TASS Director General Andrey Kondrashov.
"I represent a small country and have no right to interfere in the affairs of big countries, and unlike most leaders, presidents and prime ministers, I know that our opinion is not very important, but it sometimes differs from others, that is why it is prominent. I've been to the Munich Conference many times. I think it is important to see and hear how the Western world thinks, and also to listen to different opinions and learn something. This time I saw a lot, but I am afraid that there were not enough conclusions to come up with innovative and inventive solutions to establish peace. It seems to me that the word 'peace' has become an unloved and unwanted word in the world," Vucic said. He compared the conference participants to "football fans."
"A new architecture of world politics will certainly emerge, there will be a lot of changes and it will be very different from what it was before. We are getting used to it a bit, but the only thing I can say is that we must always defend our freedom, the right to think for ourselves, to make independent decisions and to decide in accordance with the interests of our people," the head of state concluded.
