Polish security agents arrest Russian, Belarusian on espionage charges, says TV

The two men face up to 10 years in prison

WARSAW, April 27. /TASS/. Polish security forces have arrested a Russian and a Belarusian in Bialystok over espionage, a Polish TV channel reported on Wednesday.

The two men have long been living in Poland, the TV reported. They have been reportedly gathering information on the country’s military bases and their locations, as well as on the equipment and personnel deployed there, and the allies’ units.

"Acting in the interests of Russian intelligence, the Russian and the Belarusian have been spying on the Polish armed forces," said a spokesman for a ministry that coordinates Polish security operations. Prosecutors have charged them with espionage. The two face up to 10 years in prison.
