Denmark trying to unite society on anti-Russian basis — ambassador

Vladimir Barbin emphasized that "under these circumstances, Copenhagen has no alternative but to carry out its Russophobic plans, including prolonging the bloodshed in Ukraine"

MOSCOW, November 1. /TASS/. Copenhagen is trying to consolidate Danish society on an anti-Russian basis, Ambassador to Denmark Vladimir Barbin told TASS in an interview.

"The intimidation of the 'Russian threat,' including baseless accusations that we are waging a hybrid war and preparing acts of sabotage, has become a favorite tool in the West, including Denmark, to manipulate public opinion and unite it against Russia," the diplomat noted.

He emphasized that "under these circumstances, Copenhagen has no alternative but to carry out its Russophobic plans, including prolonging the bloodshed in Ukraine, and, instead of addressing pressing socioeconomic challenges, to finance the rapid growth of military spending and preparations for a potential conflict with Russia.".
