Russia opposes ceasefire as ‘respite’ for Kiev, says Kremlin

Moscow does not plan in any way whatsoever to halt combat operations ahead of trilateral talks in Abu Dhabi, Dmitry Peskov emphasized

MOSCOW, October 30. /TASS/. Russia favors durable peace and opposes a ceasefire as a ‘respite’ for the Kiev regime, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

"We have repeatedly said that we are against a ceasefire that will give Ukrainians a respite," Peskov stressed.

Proceeding from this stance, Moscow does not plan in any way whatsoever to halt combat operations ahead of trilateral talks [on resolving the Ukraine conflict] in Abu Dhabi," the Russian president’s press secretary said.
