MOSCOW, July 4. /TASS/. The US aggression against Iran was completely unprovoked and there was no justification for Washington's attack, Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev said while answering journalists' questions following his visit to Iran.

"There was no serious reason for the US attack. This aggression by the United States was completely unprovoked. Iran posed no threat to the United States; moreover, it was in the midst of negotiations with the American delegation and working toward certain agreements, and it was at the very moment that the order to launch strikes against Iran was issued," he recalled.
