Russian agriculture augments country’s foreign policy — top diplomat

Moscow meets its obligations on international contracts conscientiously, being one of the key food security guarantors, Sergey Lavrov noted

MOSCOW, November 26. /TASS/. Agricultural diplomacy facilitates augmentation of Russia’s foreign policy and helps establish connections with countries of the Global South and East, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said.

"Active agricultural diplomacy effectively promotes the strengthening of our cooperation with countries of the Global South and East, virtually augmenting our foreign policy," he said at a meeting of the Council of heads of Russian constituent entities at the Foreign Ministry.

Moscow meets its obligations on international contracts conscientiously, being one of the key food security guarantors, Lavrov noted. "This issue is of interest to the majority of states globally, including our BRICS friends," he added.
