Russian bombers engage Ukrainian command post in Kupyansk direction

The crew made bombing by high-explosive air bombs with a versatile gliding and correction module, the Russian Defense Ministry said

MOSCOW, February 24. /TASS/. A Su-35 fighter jet of the Russian Aerospace Force escorted Su-34 bombers that delivered a strike against a Ukrainian army’s command post in the Kupyansk direction, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

"A flight of Su-34 bombers escorted by a Su-35S fighter completed a takeoff from the base airfield and delivered a bombing strike against a command post and manpower of the Ukrainian armed forces. The crew made bombing by high-explosive air bombs with a versatile gliding and correction module, making it possible to make accurate strikes without entering the engagement zone of the enemy’s air defense," the ministry informed.

The group returned to the base airfield after completing the combat mission, the ministry noted. According to a reconnaissance report, the target was successfully engaged.
