Russian Battlegroup Center engages fifty temporary stations of Ukrainian army

More than 370 targets were hit, seventeen strongholds and more than one hundred field artillery positions, Battlegroup Spokesman Alexander Savchuk said

MOSCOW, February 24. /TASS/. The Russian Battlegroup Center engaged fifty temporary stations and seventeen strongholds of the Ukrainian army over the day, Battlegroup Spokesman Alexander Savchuk told TASS.

"Battlegroup units supported by artillery fire and aviation strikes improved their frontline position. More than 370 targets were hit, including fifty temporary manpower stations, seventeen strongholds and more than one hundred field artillery positions of 53rd mechanized and 59th motorized infantry brigades, 107th and 116th territorial defense brigades of the Ukrainian army in areas of Pervomaiskoye, Orlovka, and Tonenkoye settlements," Savchuk said.

The Battlegroup thwarted ten counterattacks of Ukrainian brigades, he noted. "Air defense systems shot down four unmanned aerial vehicles and the GBU-39 guided bomb of the US make. The enemy lost up to 440 servicemen, seven combat vehicles, sixteen motor vehicles, two 122-mm D-30 howitzers and two 120-mm mortars," Savchuk added.
