Russia to destroy outdated military equipment supplied to Ukraine by West - diplomat

"NATO’s Eastern European members also seem satisfied. They no longer have to think how to get rid of obsolete Soviet-era weapons", Dmitry Polyansky said

UNITED NATIONS, April 20. /TASS/. The Russian armed forces will destroy the outdated military equipment, supplied to Ukraine by the West, Russian First Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN Dmitry Polyansky said.

"NATO’s Eastern European members also seem satisfied. They no longer have to think how to get rid of obsolete Soviet-era weapons," he told the UN Security Council session on Ukraine on Tuesday.

"While promising to deliver to Ukraine brand new NATO-grade equipment, they readily dispatch specimens that often fail to either shoot or move, knowing that Russian forces would "grind" this scrap metal, saving them trouble with disposal," the Russian diplomat added.
