Qatari LNG tanker attacked in Persian Gulf — statement

None of the crew members onboard were injured

DOHA, November 1. /TASS/. The Al Mayeda LNG tanker, which is owned by Qatar’s Nakilat company, was attacked on the evening of October 30 in the Persian Gulf, the press service said in a statement posted on the company’s website.

"Qatar Gas Transport Company (Nakilat) confirms that its LNG carrier Al Mayeda was hit by unidentified objects, while transiting the Arabian Gulf on Friday evening, October 30, 2026. None of the crew members onboard were injured, and there is no impact on the environment as a result of this incident," the statement said.

Nakilat emphasized that the vessel is operational, and an assessment of the incident’s consequences is underway. The company is coordinating directly with the crew and regional maritime safety authorities to ensure the seafarers' safety, the statement noted.
