Russia strikes dry cargo ship east of Odessa transporting weapons for Ukrainian military

MOSCOW, August 8. /TASS/. Russian servicemen have struck a dry cargo ship transporting weapons for the Armed Forces of Ukraine with Geran drones in the Black Sea waters east of Odessa, the Russian Defense Ministry has reported.

"Units of the Russian Defense Ministry's Unmanned Systems Troops continue to strike Ukraine's maritime logistics facilities. On August 7, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. Moscow time [12 p.m. GMT], a strike was delivered by a Geran-4 Seeker unmanned aerial vehicle against a dry cargo ship involved in the transportation of weapons and military property used in the interests of Ukraine in the Black Sea waters east of Odessa," the ministry said.
