MOSCOW, October 9. /TASS/. Iran won't hold anything back in response to new attacks by the United States and Israel, a high-ranking Iranian source told TASS, commenting on US President Donald Trump’s warnings about potential new strikes against Iran.

"This time, in addition to showcasing the latest and most unexpected military equipment, Iran will have no reason to exercise any restraint or limit the scope of the battlefield to specific geographic or thematic boundaries," he said.

The history of America’s contradictory behavior and "repeated lies," combined with Israel’s unprecedented influence on the current ruling establishment in Washington, compels the Iranian side to "maintain absolute, 100 percent readiness for a massive and decisive response to any strike, no matter how insignificant it may be," the source stressed. "Iran has anchored its planning in the imperative of preparing for a protracted confrontation with the enemy, fine-tuning its defensive and offensive strategies and tactics accordingly."
