UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced the biggest package of defense aid to Ukraine worth $3.19 bln

LONDON, January 12. /TASS/. The UK will provide Ukraine with additional long-range missiles, anti-tank means and artillery shells within the framework of military aid to the Kiev regime in 2024, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said at a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky in Kiev.

"The United Kingdom is announcing today our single biggest package of defense aid to Ukraine since the war began," the British prime minister said, adding that the package is worth 2.5 bln pounds ($3.19 bln - TASS). According to him, the military aid package will include more air defense hardware, anti-tank weapons and long-range missiles, as well as thousands of artillery shells and the training for thousands of Ukrainian servicemen.

Additionally, Sunak confirmed London’s aspiration to supply Kiev with "the largest delivery of drones to Ukraine from any nation." He stressed that the UK "will continue to stand with Ukraine."
