MOSCOW, December 12. /TASS/. Meetings of prime ministers from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) will be held in Moscow on December 12-13 with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin attending.
The Russian premier is expected to discuss with his CIS counterparts ways to develop mutual trade against the backdrop of western sanctions. In turn, his meeting with EAEU colleagues will be devoted to economic integration.
CIS meeting
The CIS premiers are expected to sign a number of documents during their meting, including a memorandum on cooperation in digital transformation of the transport sector and an agreement on commercial shipbuilding.
The CIS prime ministers will also discuss cooperation in culture and humanitarian matters and approve the plan for humanitarian cooperation in 2025-2026. The document includes 172 events in science, culture, information and media, book publishing, sports, healthy lifestyle, tourism and youth programs.
EAEU talks
During a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, the sides will discuss economic integration and exchange opinions on joint industrial projects and their implementation.
They will also address energy cooperation and ways to develop e-commerce in EAEU.
