MOSCOW, November 29. /TASS/. The Ukrainian armed forces have lost more than 340 troops in the Kursk area over the past day, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
In total, the enemy has lost more than 36,600 troops since the fighting began in the region.
The Russian Investigative Committee issued an international warrant for the arrest of Daniel Bernard Rebar, a mercenary from the US who committed a terrorist attack in the Kursk Region in early September 2024.

Operation to neutralize Ukrainian forces
- Units of Russia’s Battlegroup North defeated Ukrainian armed formations in the areas of the settlements of Aleksandriya, Viktorovka, Lebedevka, Leonidovka, Nizhny Klin, Nikolayevo-Daryino, Nikolsky, Novoivanovka, Plyokhovo and Sverdlikovo.
- Russian operational/tactical and army aircraft, missile forces hit enemy manpower and equipment in the Kursk and Sumy regions.
- The operation to destroy Ukrainian forces is ongoing.
Ukraine’s losses
- Over the day, Ukraine lost more than 340 troops, an armored personnel carrier, an armored combat vehicle, 12 motor vehicles, an artillery piece and six mortars.
- Since the beginning of hostilities in the Kursk Region, Kiev has lost over 36,600 troops, 223 tanks, 158 infantry fighting vehicles, 123 armored personnel carriers, 1,201 armored combat vehicles, 1,056 motor vehicles, 305 artillery pieces, 40 multiple rocket launchers, including 11 HIMARS and six MLRS of US manufacture, 13 anti-aircraft missile launchers, seven transport and loading vehicles, 70 electronic warfare stations, 13 counter-battery radars, four air defense radars, 27 pieces of engineering and other equipment, including 13 counter-obstacle vehicles, one UR-77 mine-clearing vehicle, six armored repair and recovery vehicles, as well as a command and staff vehicle.
Aid to displaced residents
- Residents of the borderline Kursk Region, who were caught in a massive attack by the Ukrainian armed forces, have applied about 4,500 requests for rent compensation, Alexey Smirnov, the region's governor, reported on his Telegram channel.
- According to the governor, the work to support the displaced people from the border areas continues in cooperation with the federal center. The Russian government has allocated funding to provide compensation for the rent of housing.
US mercenary case
- Military investigators have completed their investigation into the case of Daniel Bernard Rebar, a US mercenary who committed a terrorist attack in Russia's Kursk Region in early September 2024, the press service of the Russian Investigative Committee told TASS.
- At the request of an investigator of the Russian Investigative Committee, the court arrested Bernard Rebar in absentia. He has been put on an international wanted list.
