Initial reports say 5 civilians killed in Ukraine’s missile strike on Kherson Region city

GENICHESK, November 9. /TASS/. Five residents of Skadovsk, a city in the Kherson Region, were killed in a missile strike by Ukrainian troops, according to initial reports, the press service of the emergencies ministry’s department for the region told TASS.

On Thursday, Kherson Region Governor Vladimir Saldo said that 11 people were taken to hospitals after civilian infrastructure had been shelled in Skadovsk.

"According to preliminary information, 15 people were injured, of whom five have died, and 10 were hospitalized to the central regional clinic of Skadovsk," the press service said.

The strike was carried out at 10:00 a.m. Moscow time (7:00 a.m. GMT), causing the collapse of a two-story building, the Ministry for Emergency Situations said.
