KEMEROVO, April 25. /TASS/. /. According to preliminary reports, a breach in the drainage system at the Yerunakovskaya-8 coal mine in the Kemerovo Region killed one person and left another injured, a company source told TASS.

"Preliminary reports said a person was killed and another injured," the source said, adding that there were more than 200 people at the mine when the incident happened.

Earlier, an emergencies source told TASS that workers were being evacuated from the Yerunakovskaya-8 coal mine due to a breach in the drainage system. Two mine rescue teams and an operations team of the Novokuznetsk rescue fire squad are working at the site. The Emergencies Ministry has confirmed the death of a miner. "The remaining 200 people are leaving the mine on their own, and their lives are not endangered," the Ministry’s press service said.
