Russian army destroys Ukraine's underground bunkers in Zaporozhye Region

Zaporozhye Region Governor Yevgeny Balitsky stressed that the seizure of Gulyaipole would pave the way for the liberation of the entire Zaporozhye Region

MELITOPOL, December 25. /TASS/. The Russian army has destroyed Ukraine's underground bunkers in the city of Gulyaipole, Zaporozhye Region Governor Yevgeny Balitsky said.

"Battlegroup Dnepr is advancing in the Orekhov area. Our army has destroyed the enemy's underground bunkers in Gulyaipole. The enemy spent years building the concrete fortifications deep underground and even establishing utilities there. As far as we understand, millions of hryvnias in Ukrainian taxpayer money were spent on that, and it was portrayed as a big achievement by the Ukrainian army. However, these fortifications managed to stop our advancing army for about five minutes," he wrote on Telegram.

The governor stressed that the seizure of Gulyaipole would pave the way for the liberation of the entire Zaporozhye Region. He also pointed out that the regional authorities were ready to provide administrative and humanitarian support to the residents of liberated settlements.
