MOSCOW, July 27. /TASS/. Foreign citizens and stateless persons will no longer be able to purchase or even own land plots in the Sirius federal territory, according to a respective decree signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The document adds the Sirius federal territory to the list of border territories where "foreign citizens, stateless persons, and foreign legal entities are prohibited from owning land plots."
The list was last amended in 2021, with changes affecting specific districts of the Bryansk Region. The ban on foreign ownership of land in border areas is established by the Land Code as part of legislation on state border protection, while the specific list of such territories is determined by a decree from the President of Russia.
