Russia in talks with Asian, other countries on easing travel — Foreign Ministry

Department Director Alexey Klimov stressed that Russian citizens would be promptly informed as the relevant agreements enter into force

MOSCOW, October 31. /TASS/. Russia is holding talks with several countries in Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America on simplifying travel arrangements, Alexey Klimov, director of the Russian Foreign Ministry’s Consular Department, told TASS in an interview.

"Work to expand the legal framework with friendly countries on issues related to facilitating mutual travel by citizens is ongoing. Dialogue on reaching relevant agreements continues with a number of countries in Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America," the diplomat said.

He stressed that Russian citizens would be promptly informed as the relevant agreements enter into force.
