Caspian Pipeline Consortium transports 70.52 mln tons of oil in 2025

At present, the consortium’s pipeline system is capable of transporting about 72.5 mln tons of oil per year from Kazakhstan and up to 83 mln tons per year via Russia

MOSCOW, February 26. /TASS/. The Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) system transported 70.52 mln tons of oil from its marine terminal near Novorossiysk for export in 2025 compared to 63.01 mln tons in the previous year, the company’s press service reported following the meeting of the CPC Corporate Governance Bodies in Abu Dhabi.

"In 2025, 70.52 million tons of oil were transported via the Tengiz-Novorossiysk pipeline system. Of this amount, 36.6 million tons, 9.2 million tons and 17 million tons of oil were delivered to the system from the Tengiz, Karachaganak and Kashagan fields respectively in 2025," the company said. In the previous year 63.01 mln tons of oil were transported.

Head of the consortium Nikolay Gorban said earlier that total shipments by the end of last year would amount to at least 72 mln tons, while Transneft CEO Nikolay Tokarev expected the company to ship 74.4 mln tons of oil for export in 2025.

At present, the consortium’s pipeline system is capable of transporting about 72.5 mln tons of oil per year from Kazakhstan and up to 83 mln tons per year via Russia.

CPC is the pipeline system connecting Kazakhstan with a seaport in Novorossiysk area, where tankers are loaded with oil for the supply to global markets. The 1,511 km long pipeline links oilfields in the West Kazakhstan with the marine terminal in Novorossiysk. Among CPC shareholders are Russia (via Transneft), Kazakhstan (via KazMunayGas), structures of Chevron, Lukoil, ExxonMobil, a joint venture of Rosneft and Shell.
