Court fines Amazon for repost from banned drugs website

According to case papers, the company refused to delete reposts in one of affiliated social networks from the Hydra website banned in Russia, where information about making and selling drugs is contained

MOSCOW, October 18. /TASS/. A court in Moscow has fined Amazon 3 mln rubles ($48,180) for the refusal to delete information about methods of making and consuming drugs, TASS reports from the court room of the Justice of the Peace of Court Section No. 422.

"The court found Amazon.com Inc. guilty under part 4 article 13.41 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation (failure of the owner of a website to delete calls for extremist activities, materials with pornographic images of minors and information about methods of making and using narcotic substances) and imposed a fine of 3 mln rubles ($48,180)," Judge Timur Vakrameyev read out the decision.
