MELITOPOL, October 28. /TASS/. Operators of Russian quadcopter drones are shooting down most enemy unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over the Zaporozhye Region, an unmanned systems unit soldier of the 1430th Guards Motorized Rifle Regiment with the call sign Uragan told TASS.
"Behind the scenes, there’s a huge amount of work being done by our operators using our standard, favorite quadcopters, which shoot down the vast majority of drones during combat operations. In other words, a standard attack drone can easily be turned into an interceptor drone, and thanks to the operator’s experience and skills, everything is shot down perfectly: from the Mavic to Baba-Yaga UAVs, as well as attack drones," Uragan said.
He noted that quadcopter interceptor drones had proven their effectiveness practically from the very first days they were deployed as air defense systems.
