Russia’s Mnogotochiye assault rifle rounds can neutralize drones at 300 m range — Rostec

A cartridge bullet consists of three elements, and each of them spins upon exiting the barrel to stabilize the shot

MOSCOW, July 3. /TASS/. Mnogotochiye assault rifle cartridges produced by High Precision Systems Holding Company (part of the state technology corporation Rostec) can take down enemy drones at a range of up to 300 meters, depending on the caliber, Rostec said in its ‘Nash Krash’ (‘Our Crash’ Test) engineering project.

"As compared to shotgun rounds, we have operational ranges of 100-150 [meters], depending on the caliber. The range for the 7.62 [mm caliber] is up to 300 [meters]," said one of the engineers who developed the Mnogotochiye cartridge.

"A cartridge bullet consists of three elements, and each of them spins upon exiting the barrel to stabilize the shot. "Each bullet element rotates like a whirl, making it quite difficult for it to deviate from its trajectory," the engineer explained.
