Russian rotorcraft maker to showcase upgraded attack helicopter at Army-2018 forum

The improvements relate, in particular, to the main rotor system and the powerplant, the company said

MOSCOW, August 17. /TASS/. The Russian Helicopters Group (part of state hi-tech corporation Rostec) will showcase the modernized Mil Mi-28NE attack helicopter at the Army-2018 international military and technical forum outside Moscow on August 21-26, the rotorcraft maker’s press office reported on Friday. 

"The modernized Mi-28NE helicopter in its new technical design will be demonstrated at the exhibition. The improvements relate, in particular, to the main rotor system and the powerplant," the company said.

The Army-2018 forum will also showcase the upgraded Mi-35M and Mi-35P helicopters, which feature new avionics suites," the press office said.

The rotorcraft maker’s static display will demonstrate Mi-17V-5 and Ka-226.80 choppers and also the patrol version of the Ansat helicopter.

The forum’s Aviation pavilion will demonstrate the Mi-171Sh military and transport helicopter with its expanded capabilities while the site next to the pavilion will showcase the latest modification of the heavy Mi-26T2V helicopter.
