Two DPR cities come under shelling from Grad rocket systems by Ukrainian troops

According to the DPR’s mission, six rockets were fired at Yelenovka and six more - at Yasinovataya

DONETSK, May 29. /TASS/. The cities of Yasinovataya and Yelenovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) came under shelling by Ukrainian troops who used Grad multiple rocket launcher systems, the DPR’s mission to the Joint Control and Coordination Center (JCCC) said on Sunday.

According to the DPR’s mission, six rockets were fired at Yelenovka and six more - at Yasinovataya.

Earlier in the day, the mission reported that Yasinovataya came under shelling from Grad systems twice this morning and that Yelenovka came under shelling from 122mm artillery systems. No casualties were reported.

Yasinovataya is located north of Donetsk near the frontline. It has a population of more than 30,000 and is a large railway hub. The city has been a target for Ukrainian attacks since the outbreak of the conflict in Donbass. Since February 2022, more than ten civilians have been killed and dozens have been wounded in the city as a result of shelling attacks by Ukrainian troops.
