NEW YORK, December 15. /TASS/. The bodies of American actor and director Rob Reiner and his wife were found in their home in Los Angeles, California, NBC News reported, citing sources.

According to the TV channel, Reiner and his wife were found in their mansion at around 3:30 p.m. on December 14 (11:30 p.m. GMT) with stab wounds. Neighbors confirmed to NBC News that the director's family lived in the house. Real estate documents also prove this, the TV channel noted.

The People magazine stated, citing sources, that Reiner and his wife were killed by their son, Nick. In 2016, he son told the magazine in an interview that he had struggled with drug addiction since his teenage years. However, the magazine does not see a clear connection between his addiction and the crime.

Reiner directed about three dozen films, including "When Harry Met Sally" (1989), "A Few Good Men" (1992), "The American President" (1995), and "The Bucket List" (2007). He also played a supporting role in "The Wolf of Wall Street" (2013).
