Evacuation underway after blast struck village in Vladimir Region

MOSCOW, April 22. /TASS/. Residents of the village of Barsovo in the Vladimir Region’s Kirzhachsky District are being evacuated to schools in the neighboring settlement of Krasny Oktyabr after an explosion struck the area, the district's unified duty dispatch service told TASS.

"All residents of Barsovo are now being evacuated to schools No. 6 and No. 7 in the settlement of Krasny Oktyabr in the Kirzhachsky District," the service reported.

Evacuation has also begun in the settlement of Mirny in the same district, the local administration announced on its Telegram channel.

"At the moment, all emergency response forces are engaged. Please remain calm and do not spread unverified information until all the circumstances are clarified," the region’s head Yelena Karpova wrote on her Telegram channel.
