MOSCOW, September 22. /TASS/. Russians have filed a record 12,000 applications during the open recruitment for the Roscosmos Cosmonaut Corps, the state corporation’s CEO Dmitry Bakanov said at a meeting with Russia’s Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

"This year we held an open recruitment of cosmonauts and we set a new record thanks to posting the announcement on the Gosuslugi public services portal. As many as 12,000 applications were submitted, while 350 people have already passed the first stage of selection. This year we will complete the recruitment process and announce the names of those we have chosen," Bakanov said.
