MOSCOW, March 17. /TASS/. Russia and Tajikistan have reaffirmed that they share similar approaches to global problems, Russian President Vladimir Putin said after talks with his Tajik counterpart Emomali Rahmon.
"Our discussion about pressing regional and global issues once again revealed that our countries share similar approaches. Russia and Tajikistan are committed to the principles of the rule of international law, sovereignty and non-interference into internal affairs," the Russian leader said.
Putin went on to say that Moscow and Dushanbe are coordinating their efforts within the framework of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
"Russia supports Tajikistan’s CIS presidency this year, which will culminate with the CIS summit in Dushanbe in October," the Russian leader added.
