Top Russian security official holds talks with Indonesian defense chief

JAKARTA, February 25. /TASS/. Russian Security Council Secretary Sergey Shoigu has held talks with Indonesian Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, a TASS correspondent reported.

Earlier on Tuesday, the top Russian security official, who is currently on a working visit to Indonesia, arrived at the country's Defense Ministry, where a welcoming ceremony took place. After the meeting, the parties exchanged souvenirs.

Shoigu arrived in Indonesia on Monday. During his trip, he is expected to hold talks with the country’s top officials, discussing pressing bilateral issues, including those related to security and defense, as well as the development of cooperation in other areas of mutual interest.
