Russian forces trap Ukrainian battlegroup near Kurakhovo in DPR — security official

DONETSK, December 13. /TASS/. A Ukrainian battlegroup has become trapped near the settlement of Uspenovka south of Kurakhovo in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), a source in the security services told TASS.

"Our forces have encircled the enemy in the section of the frontline between the settlements of Vesyoly Gai and Uspenovka to the south of Kurakhovo. Naturally, the battlegroup will not be able to leave the kill zone unharmed," the source explained.

The security services clarified that the kill zone stretches for more than four kilometers (2.5 miles).
