The decision adopted today to approve the agreement on electronic commerce in goods within the EAEU will introduce unified rules for the operation of marketplaces across the association, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said at a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.
"We will approve the agreement on electronic commerce of goods within the internal market of the Union," he said.
The document is intended to "protect the interests of both sellers and buyers," Mishustin added. "Businesses will operate under uniform clear rules, while consumers will gain access to a wider range of products on marketplaces," he said.
Among other approved agreements, the Russian premier mentioned the treaty on the mutual recognition of academic rank documents designed to give researchers within the EAEU "greater opportunities to realize their potential, regardless of the country where they obtained their degree."
Another agreement stipulates granting brokers from EAEU countries the right "to participate in trading on the exchanges of all five member states, which will serve to expand investment cooperation."
