EAEU mutual trade grows by 10.3% in 2022 to $80.6 bln

According to the report, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan increased their exports to the EAEU by $9.8 bln (1.4-fold), including to Russia - by $9.5 bln

MOSCOW, February 21. /TASS/. The volume of mutual trade in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) for 2022 increased by 10.3% and reached $80.6 bln, the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) wrote in its Telegram channel citing data from the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB).

"The mutual trade within the EAEU in 2022 reached its maximum figure and, according to the bank's analysts, amounted to $80.6 bln (+10.3% in annual terms)," the statement said.

According to the report, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan increased their exports to the EAEU by $9.8 bln (1.4-fold), including to Russia - by $9.5 bln. "Thus, Armenia’s exports to the EAEU increased by $1.6 bln (2.8-fold), to Belarus - by $5.6 bln (1.3-fold), Kazakhstan - by $1.9 bln (1.2-fold), Kyrgyzstan - by $646 bln (1.8-fold)," the statement said.

The EEC noted that the importance of the union market for Armenia and Kyrgyzstan has increased significantly - the share of the union countries in the total export of Armenia increased from 29.3% to 46.8%, Kyrgyzstan - from 28.8% to 65.8%.
