Geran drones strike several data centers in Ukraine

The Russian Defense Ministry said these centers processed data for government and commercial services, including those used by the Ukrainian armed forces

MOSCOW, October 6. /TASS/. Geran drone crews from the Varyag Brigade of Russia’s Unmanned Systems Forces have struck several data centers across Ukraine, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement, releasing footage of the strikes.

"In order to reduce the enemy’s communication capabilities, disrupt its military logistics and troop control, attack drone crews from the Varyag Brigade of the Unnamed Systems Forces struck a number of data centers in major Ukrainian cities that process data for government and commercial services, including those used by the Ukrainian armed forces. In particular, footage released by the Russian Defense Ministry shows Geran attack drones striking the Parkovy, Ukrtelecom, Giga and Podolsky data centers, which are among the Ukrainian army’s strategic facilities," the statement reads.

According to the ministry, objective control data and footage shared by eyewitnesses confirm that all targets were successfully hit.
