MOSCOW, January 20./TASS/. Two Russian Tu-160 strategic missile-carrying bombers have completed a 14-hour-long flight over the neutral waters of the Arctic Ocean, the Barents Sea and the Shite Sea, the Russian Defense Ministry told journalists on Wednesday.

"Two strategic missile carriers Tu-160 made a planned flight in the airspace over the neutral waters of the Arctic Ocean, the Barents and White seas. The duration of the flight was over 14 hours," the ministry said.

The Defense Ministry said that during the flight the crews had trained inflight refueling. Long-range aviation pilots perform regular flights over the neutral waters of the Arctic, the North Atlantic, the Black and Caspian seas as well as the Pacific Ocean.

"All flights by the aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces are carried out in strict compliance with the international rules for the use of airspace," the ministry emphasized.
