Palestine condemns Israel's actions in Gaza, calls upon world community to intervene

Israel’s renewed bombing of Gaza "undermines all efforts to develop Gaza's reconstruction plan and to establish a united Palestinian state," the ministry stressed

CAIRO, March 18. /TASS/. Palestine has condemned the resumption of Israeli strikes on Gaza and called for urgent international action from the world community, the Palestinian Foreign Ministry wrote on its X social media page.

"The Palestinian Foreign Ministry vigorously condemns acts of aggression against our people in Gaza and calls on the international community to immediately intervene and stop the genocide of Palestinians in the enclave," the Palestinian Foreign Ministry noted. According to its figures, the majority of those killed by Israeli bombardment are "children, women and the elderly."

Israel’s renewed bombing of Gaza "undermines all efforts to develop Gaza's reconstruction plan and to establish a united Palestinian state," the ministry stressed. "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs calls for urgent international intervention to take a firm stance and put an end to the aggression as soon as possible," the message reads.

On March 18, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported extensive strikes on terrorist targets belonging to the Hamas Palestinian movement in the Gaza Strip, and Axios reporter Barak Ravid said on X, citing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office that Israel had resumed military operations in Gaza after Hamas rejected the US proposal to extend the state of ceasefire.

According to the latest figures released by the Al Arabiya TV channel, the number of people killed in the Israeli attacks on Gaza has reached 356, and 1,000 others have been injured. About half of the killed people were victims of an airstrike on the administrative center of Gaza, the TV channel specified.
