"Chinese-Russian relations will continue to make steady progress despite significant shifts in the international landscape. [Attempts by] the United States to create division between China and Russia are entirely unproductive," he pointed out at a briefing, responding to statements made by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
In response to a Western journalist’s inquiry about the White House’s concerns that Moscow and Beijing allegedly "could join forces against the US, Lin emphasized that cooperation between China and Russia, as the world’s leading powers, "has its own pace" and is not influenced by third parties. "The development strategies and foreign policies of China and Russia have a long-term vision," the diplomat concluded.
