Ukraine plans to produce over 2 mln drones this year — Deputy Minister

Deputy Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine Anna Gvozdyar added that a country is actively developing a new type of drones using artificial intelligence technologies

TOKYO, April 6. /TASS/. Ukraine will be able to produce more than 2 mln drones of various types in 2024, Deputy Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine Anna Gvozdyar said in an interview with Japanese NHK TV channel.

"This year we are ready to produce more than 2 mln drones of various types," the TV channel quoted her as saying.

She added that Ukraine is actively developing a new type of drones using artificial intelligence technologies. Gvozdyar expressed confidence that AI will allow such drones to navigate routes and reach targets even amid countermeasures.
