Dozens of Palestinians injured during 'looting' of humanitarian aid convoy in Gaza — IDF

According to a source with knowledge of the incident, several people that surrounded the humanitarian aid trucks have approached IDF servicemen ensuring the passage of the trucks

TEL AVIV, February 29. /TASS/. Dozens of Gaza residents were injured in a stampede during the ‘looting’ of a humanitarian aid convoy in the northern part of the Gaza Strip, the IDF press office reported.

"Early this morning, during the entry of humanitarian aid trucks into the northern Gaza Strip, Gazan residents surrounded the trucks, and looted the supplies being delivered. During the incident, dozens of Gazans were injured as a result of pushing and trampling," the IDF said, adding that "the incident is under review."

According to a source with knowledge of the incident, several people that surrounded the humanitarian aid trucks have approached IDF servicemen ensuring the passage of the trucks," after which the crowd "approached the servicemen in a manner that posed a threat to them," to which the troops responded by opening fire with live ammunition."
