TASHKENT, November 9. /TASS/. An international meeting on the situation in the Gaza Strip is planned for November 15 in Istanbul, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at the Economic Cooperation Organization Summit in Tashkent.
"An international meeting on Gaza will be held on November 15 in Istanbul," Erdogan said, noting that Turkey will continue its diplomatic efforts to resolve the crisis.
According to the Turkish leader, the Istanbul meeting will be held under the patronage of his wife, Emine Erdogan. "I hope that an international meeting with the wives of heads of state and government will be held on November 15 in Istanbul under the patronage of my wife. This will show strong solidarity with our brothers in Gaza," Erdogan said.
On October 28, a rally of thousands of people was held in Istanbul in support of Palestine. In his speech, Erdogan said that Turkey intends to seek the declaration of Israel as a war criminal for its actions in Gaza.
