Moscow court fines Google $44,336 over banned content

The protocols were drawn up over YouTube videos promoting non-traditional sexual relations and discrediting the Russian army

MOSCOW, October 7. /TASS/. Moscow’s Tagansky District Court has once again ruled to fine Google 3.8 million rubles ($44,336) for refusing to remove prohibited information, a participant in the proceedings told TASS.

"The court found Google LLC guilty of an administrative offense under Part 2 of Article 13.41 of the Russian Code of Administrative Offenses (violation of the procedure for restricting access to information that is subject to restriction under Russian law). The court imposed a fine of 3.8 million rubles ($44,336)," the source said.

The Tagansky Court has previously fined Google multiple times for administrative offenses. The protocols were drawn up over YouTube videos promoting non-traditional sexual relations and discrediting the Russian army.

As previously reported, Google's debt to the Russian Federation over administrative offenses has reached two undecillion rubles (a number with 36 zeros) ($23.33 undecillion), an amount that increases daily due to non-payment penalties. Meanwhile, the company’s return to the Russian market is only possible if it complies with the court rulings.
