LUGANSK, November 25. /TASS/. Three citizens of European countries - Germany, Poland and Italy - have filed applications with the Interior Ministry’s office in the Lugansk People's Republic (LPR) for a temporary residence permit in Russia, saying the reason is they "share Russia’s spiritual and moral values," the office’s press service has said.
In the near future, decisions will be made in response to these applications, enabling the petitioners obtain Russia’s residence permits.
On August 19, 2024, the presidential decree On Providing Humanitarian Support for Persons who Share Traditional Russian Spiritual and Moral Values was signed and published. This document establishes easier rules of entry into Russia for such foreign citizens starting from September 1, 2024. They will be able to apply for a residence permit without being included in the relevant quota or documents confirming their knowledge of the Russian language, Russian history and the basics of Russian legislation.
