Serbian rock band releases tribute to Putin

The leader of the Dzhepovi rock band, Vladimir Nisevic stressed that Serbia and its "big sister" Russia are united not only by common traditions, history, culture, but also by a common struggle

BELGRADE, March 14. /TASS/. Serbian rock band Dzepovi has come out with a video for the song "Dolazi Vladimir" ("Vladimir’s time is coming"), recorded in support of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the press service of the Russian Center for Science and Culture (The Russian House) in Belgrade reported.

"On the eve of the presidential election in Russia, the Belgrade rock band Dzhepovi released a video for their song "Dolazi Vladimir," filmed in coordination with the Russian House in Belgrade. According to the leader of the group, Vladimir Nisevic, the track was recorded in support of Vladimir Putin," the press service said.

The Russian House also stressed that, according to regularly conducted sociological surveys, Vladimir Putin is extremely popular among the Serbian population.

"The decision of the rock band Dzepovi to write a song in support of the President of Russia once again confirms the sentiments of the Serbian people," the Russian House states.

"We are closely monitoring events in the world, and our song is our prediction. We send positive vibes, we welcome the people of the Russian Federation, with whom we share values and have a common goal. This goal is freedom! Serbs and Russians are brothers forever!" the band’s leader said as quoted by the press service.

Nisevic also added that Serbia and its "big sister" Russia are united not only by common traditions, history, culture, but also by a common struggle.

"We know that Russia stands on the frontier of protecting family values, and we want to be part of this family," the musician stressed.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova praised the song by the Belgrade rock band.

"The Serbs rock!" she wrote on her Telegram channel, attaching a link to the video.
