Cosmonaut Alexey Zubritsky becomes TASS’ sixth special correspondent on ISS

STAR CITY /Moscow Region/, March 18. /TASS/. Oleg Kononenko, Deputy Head of the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center, commander of the cosmonaut squad, presented a TASS special reporter's certificate to Alexey Zubritsky, representative of the Roscosmos cosmonaut squad. He will become the agency's sixth special correspondent on the International Space Station (ISS).

"Alexey, you have the great honor to inform the readers of our country, the state news agency about your work, the work of your crew," Kononenko, Hero of Russia, said while wishing the astronaut objective and interesting reports.

This flight will be a debut for Zubritsky, who was born on August 22, 1992 in the village of Vladimirskaya (Zaporozhye Region). He was appointed to the post of test cosmonaut on January 11, 2021.

About the TASS office on the ISS

TASS and the Roscosmos state corporation signed a memorandum of cooperation in 2021 to open the agency's office on the ISS. Cosmonaut Alexander Misurkin became TASS’ first special correspondent, Oleg Artemyev the second, Dmitry Petelin the third, and Kononenko the fourth. Ivan Wagner has been working at TASS’ orbital center since September 2024.

The exclusive text, photo, and video content of TASS’ special reporters on orbit is publicly available. A special section has been created for the project on the agency's website. The materials of the space journalists are also published on TASS’ pages in social networks. About 700 materials were prepared, including videos, photographs, and text messages, which have been created since the start of space reporters’ work.
