LUGANSK, September 1. /TASS/. The Ukrainian forces lost nearly 117,000 soldiers and foreign mercenaries in fighting in the special operation zone this summer, almost 10,000 more than in the spring, according to military expert Andrey Marochko.
"The enemy's losses in manpower (killed and wounded) over the summer amounted to approximately 116,815 soldiers and mercenaries. Compared to the spring, this is almost 10,000 more," he said during a live broadcast on his VKontakte page, after analyzing data from the Russian Defense Ministry.
Marochko added that over the summer, the Russian military also destroyed three enemy aircraft, nearly 70,000 UAVs, 44 unmanned boats, 61 large sea vessels, nine anti-aircraft missile systems, 1,200 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 47 multiple launch rocket systems, 1,100 field artillery pieces and mortars, 7,700 special military vehicles, and 429 electronic and counter-battery warfare stations.
