At least 13 wounded in massive drone attack on Belgorod — acting governor

Acting Governor Alexander Shuvayev noted that there are two children among the wounded

BELGOROD, August 9. /TASS/. At least 13 people, including two children, were wounded when the armed forces of Ukraine attacked Russia’s borderline city of Belgorod with drones, acting Governor Alexander Shuvayev wrote on the Max messenger.

"Belgorod is again under a massive drone attack staged by Kiev-based terrorists. At this point, a total of 13 people were reported to have been wounded as a result of these attacks, including two children," he said.

"Among them is a four-year-old boy, who was rushed to hospital with fragmentation wounds to the chest," the acting governor added.

Another wounded child is a boy aged nine, who, along with three adults, did not require hospitalization and was treated on the site.

Eight people have been admitted to various hospitals in the city.
