Russia’s air defenses have shot down 84 drones of the Ukrainian armed forces in the Kursk Region over the past 24 hours, while Ukraine fired artillery weapons 24 times on the region’s evacuated areas, Governor Alexander Khinshtein reported. According to him, there were no fatalities or injuries.
"Between 9:00 a.m. [Moscow time] on May 17 and 9:00 a.m. [Moscow time] (6:00 a.m. GMT) on May 18, a total of 84 enemy drones of various types were shot down. The enemy opened fire from artillery weapons 24 times on evacuated areas. Drones attacked our territory by dropping explosives 10 times. There were no fatalities or injuries," the governor wrote on Max.
Khinshtein added that two sheds, a gate, a water tower, and the windows of three agricultural vehicles were damaged by shrapnel as a result of the enemy attack in the Shchekino settlement, Rylsky district.
