Black Sea initiative helps to provide more people with grain — presidential envoy

This initiative facilitates unobstructed access of Russian food and fertilizers to international markets, including raw materials for their production, the official stressed

MOSCOW, March 25. /TASS/. Russia welcomes steps of the administration of the US President Donald Trump on the restart of the Black Sea Grain Initiative, presidential envoy and head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) Kirill Dmitriev said on his Telegram channel.

"The administration of President Trump is ready to cooperate with Russia, providing for food security of the world, which will make it possible to provide with grain more than 100 million people more across the globe," Dmitriev said.

This initiative facilitates unobstructed access of Russian food and fertilizers to international markets, including raw materials for their production, the official stressed. Performance of grain deal conditions by Western partners will confirm that restrictions should not apply to foods, Dmitriev noted.

"This will be not merely a humanitarian contribution but strategic success for Russia and for the United States, the joint success," he added.
